The Alexandrite and Nd:YAG laser. The benefits of using 2 lasers is that we are targeting the hair and the roots at the same time. So we are not relying on 1 type of laser to reach the root and destroy the hair. This process along with using the Qool-Air system which blows cold air onto the skin whilst the laser is directed onto your skin makes it for a pain free treatment. You will hardly feel the laser device. Most of our cllient’s say they cannot feel the laser at all and can only feel the cold air blowing onto their skin. So it provides for a very comfortable experience. But this really varies from person to person. But on average 95% of our client’s say they cannot feel any pain.

In the older type of laser and IPL devices used by our competitors you might feel a considerable amount of pain as they do not use the latest mixed technology laser device which is only available on the Quanta Thunder. As using 2 lasers combined makes for a more comfortable treatment. Some lasers still use cooling gels applied to the skin  to reduce the heat emitted onto the skin from the laser or older cooling devices which are not as effective as the Qool-Air that is used with the Quanta Thunder. The older technology and types of laser for example Diode still use cooling gels, which is time consuming, painful and takes a long time to treat the targeted area. It’s best to avoid Diode lasers as their success rate in hair removal is minimum.
