WHAT IS VASCULAR REMOVAL?

At KLYNIK we use of Nd:YAG laser technology through our THUNDER MT laser device, treating unwanted veins on all parts of the body.
We can treat superficial smaller veins in the facial, chest and leg areas. Including Cherry Anginoma and Rosacea.

IS IT PAINFUL?

As with all treatments, it depends on the person and how sensitive they are, as well as the area being treated. We use The THUNDER MT which has an additional cooling device to decrease sensitivity during treatment. At your first consultation you will be able to get an idea of how it feels when we do the patch test on the areas to be treated.

HOW MANY TREATMENTS DO I REQUIRE?

This can vary depending on your skin type, hormonal changes in the body and medical background which can effect the results and it may take more sessions.
Recommended number of treatments varies depending on how many vessels that are to be treated and the area to be covered along with skin sensitivity. It is not possible to define how many treatments an individual will require, but treating unwanted veins is a straight forward procedure. Normally an average patient requires 1 - 3 treatments.
At your consultation we are able to advise the number of treatments before you book a course or session.

CAN I REMOVE MY VARICOSE VEINS?

We do not treat Varicose Veins as they are larger veins that require medical intervention via a doctor.

HOW DOES THE TREATMENT WORK?

When treating unwanted veins we use the hand piece from The THUNDER MT device which is held above the vein and a beam of laser light is delivered to the individual vein.
Some veins may disappear immediately, some become darker in colour, some fade gradually and this can take up to a few weeks or more for the vein to disperse or lighten ready for further treatment. It’s a very simple process that requires no downtime.

HOW DIFFERENT IS THIS TO THE THERMAVEIN TREATMENT?

With ThermaVein your veins are treated with Radio Frequency to send out a pulse of energy to try and reduce the smaller veins. This process requires many treatments as it’s not as intense as using a laser device. Our laser uses a Gold Standard wavelength being the Nd:YAG which directly targets oxyhaemoglobin (the blood) which makes it a perfect application for the treatment of veins (blood source).

Nd:YAG laser wavelengths is the most perfect and effective way to treat vascular veins. Also with laser we are able to treat larger than spider veins which the ThermaVein is generally restricted to.

An added benefit of laser is that it’s more cost affective than ThermaVein which clinics generally charge a lot more as it takes longer to deliver each treatment. Plus more treatments are required to reduce the veins. Whereas using the THUNDER MT a general session takes approximately 10 - 15 minutes.

IS IT SAFE?

Nd:YAG targets only the veins rather than generalised areas meaning there is minimal risk of damaging neighbouring tissue. Hence why removing veins with laser is the safest and most effective method.
