Why it is important to top-up your laser hair removal sessions.
Laser hair removal works by targeting the melanin (pigment) in hair follicles, which absorbs the light energy from the laser and converts it into heat. This heat then damages the hair follicles, inhibiting or delaying future hair growth. However, the process isn't 100% effective on all hairs during one session due to the hair growth cycle.

What is folliculitis?
Folliculitis can occur before or after laser hair removal when the follicles become inflamed, infected or damaged. There could be many reasons why this could occur. Laser hair removal is safe and there is no clinical evidence that laser hair removal can affect babies. But there is no long term studies that analyse the effects of laser hair removal on unborn children. So currently no reputable clinic will perform laser hair removal on pregnant women.
